Oppo R11s, R11s Plus specifications, price, features

Oppo unveiled two new smartphones in China named Oppo R11s and its bigger variant Oppo R11s Plus. Oppo R11s has been priced at CNY 2,999 (approx $450 or Rs. 29,000) while the R11s Plus has been priced at CNY 3,699 (approx $557 or Rs. 36,000).

The R11s will be available to buy from November 10 in Black and Champagne Gold color options. There is also a special Red color variant of R11s which has been priced at CNY 3,199 (approx $480 or Rs. 31,000). On the other hand, you can buy Oppo R11s Plus starting November 24 in Black and Gold color options.

The all-new Oppo R11s sports 6.01-inch FHD+ (1080×2160 pixels) AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect Ratio while the Plus variant sports 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The R11s packs 4GB RAM and R11s Plus pack 6GB RAM. In terms of battery capacity, the smaller variant comes packed with 3205mAh battery while the larger variant packs 4000mAh battery.


Except for the details mentioned above, all other specifications are same between the two variants. Both R11s devices are powered by the same 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 660 SoC and come with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.

Oppo R11s and R11s Plus feature dual rear camera setup (20MP + 16MP with f/1.7 aperture and a large 2µm pixel size) with phase detection autofocus and dual tone LED flash. On the front side, the smartphones sport 20MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI-powered beautification tech, portrait mode and scene detection.

Both devices support dual SIM (Nano) hybrid setup and run ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The smartphones also support company’s VOOC fast charging technology. Connectivity options on board the Oppo devices include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, Micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphones include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and gyroscope.

The device also packs features like O-Share which is claimed to be faster than Bluetooth. It transfers your files from one Oppo phone to another. Other features include split screen mode that lets you use two apps simultaneously, facial unlock which lets you unlock your phone using your face, and eye protection mode which protects your eyes when it gets darker. 

There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on both the devices. Both Oppo R11s smartphones sports 85.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Both Oppo R11s and Oppo R11s Plus are the refreshed versions of Oppo R11 and Oppo R11 Plus smartphones that were launched in June this year. The company has confirmed smartphones availability in markets other than China with plans to launch these devices in Taiwan and Singapore later this year. Oppo will launch its latest devices in other markets next year.
