LG K11, K11+ (Plus) specifications, price, and features

LG, the South Korean tech giant, has launched two already-launched smartphones in Chile, rebranded as LG K11, LG K11+. The smartphone comes with MIL-STD (military standards of the United States) certification for shock (drop) resistance.

The higher variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage has been priced at EUR 270 (approx Rs. 21,600 or $320) while the 2GB/ 16GB variant comes with a price tag of EUR 220 (approx Rs. 17,600 or $255). The company is expected to start shipping the phones sometime in August in Moroccan Blue and Terra Gold color options.

Both smartphones feature “elegant design” and come with a scratch-resistant metal cover on the rear making it more durable. LG K11 sports 5.3-inch HD (720×1080 pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio while the K11+ sports same 5.3-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio but there is a Panda King MN228 protective glass on top. Both K11 smartphones are powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage options include 16GB and 32GB, as mentioned above, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

Camera department includes a 13MP rear camera system on both smartphones with f/2.2 aperture 80-degree wide-angle lens, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and LED flash. The front side features a 5MP selfie camera with 100-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, and fast focus. Both variants support Portrait mode allowing you to blur the background in real-time or after taking the picture.

Both LG K11 variants run Android 8.0 Oreo and the fingerprint sensor is located at the back. The smartphones support DTS:X surround sound technology, Dolby Atmos rival, which creates a multi-dimensional sound to make you feel like it’s moving around you and hence enhances your listening experience.

Both LG K11 and K11+ accept Nano SIM and comes packed with 3000mAh non-removable battery rated to deliver 1.25 days of backup. Connectivity options onboard the smartphones include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi- Direct, Bluetooth v4.2 (Bluetooth v4.1 in K11), FM Radio, GPS/ A-GPS, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphones include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, and magnetometer.
