Russia on Saturday launched several missiles at Ukraine causing panic among residents as they flee when sirens go off across the country just hours after air attacks destroyed crucial infrastructure in Kyiv and Kharkiv. The death toll rose to 20 after the strike.
The missile hit an apartment block in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, and at least 73 were injured in the attack on the nine-story apartment building, four were critically injured. Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration stated that 72 apartments were destroyed and 230 damaged as a result of the strike.
Some 38 people had been rescued, about two dozen were missing and an unknown number of residents remained trapped under a massive pile of debris after yesterday’s attack that injured at least 73, Mr. Reznichenko added.
“We are fighting for every person, every life,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social media.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has confirmed that the United Kingdom will provide a challenger 2 Tanks to Ukraine. The announcement comes after the US promised 50 Bradley tank-killing armored vehicles assistance to Ukraine.
