Youtube Music in partnership with MusixMatch rolls out an update introducing a real-time lyrics feature on Android and iOS, a feature similar to Apple Music and Spotify. The feature offers static lyrics by pulling up the middle tab at the bottom of the ‘now playing’ section.
The feature also includes live support which increases the text size and spacing. The current line of the lyrics will be highlighted in white color with automatic scrolling.
There will be a background blur effect on iOS devices while Android devices do not have any visual effects in the lyrics tab.
Apart from the real-time lyrics feature, Youtube has started rolling out a ‘sleep timer’ feature to its music streaming service. You can find the feature at the bottom of the Now Playing overflow menu in the app. The feature has not been rolled out widely and is currently available only to a limited number of users.
The Sleep Timer feature could be useful for users who like to fall asleep while listening to music.
