BGMI is Now Accessible for Download on Google Play Store via Special URL

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has reportedly surfaced for download on certain Android devices, even without an official release confirmation from its publisher, Krafton. Users have spotted the game on the Google Play Store, although it is not visible on most review units. Krafton recently announced the resumption of BGMI operations in India, following a 10-month ban due to security concerns.

While some users have successfully downloaded BGMI through a specific Play Store URL, they have been unable to play the game as the servers are currently offline. The availability of the game remains uncertain, with Krafton only stating that it will be released “soon” in the country. The Indian government has approved a three-month trial period for BGMI, during which the game will be monitored for user safety and addiction issues. The game is expected to introduce playtime restrictions and modify gore elements, such as changing the default blood color.

In July 2022, BGMI was completely removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store under Section 69 of the IT Act, significantly impacting the Indian esports industry. Prior to the ban, the game had gained significant popularity, even featuring in a televised tournament with a substantial prize pool. Recently, another mobile game, Dead by Daylight Mobile, was also delisted without a clear explanation, potentially linked to its publisher, NetEase, a Chinese company responsible for distribution in certain regions.

Krafton has not yet provided any official release details for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).
