Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat got attacked by a group of three masked intruders in an upmarket area of Paris. According to the police reports, she was punched in the face and sprayed with teargas. The masked attackers tried to steal her handbag, says the actress.
Mallika Sherawat was with her friend, Cyrille Auxenfans, during the attack. They both got attacked when they were returning to home by three masked attackers who were trying to steal her handbag. The attackers then ran after spraying the teargas and beating them. Victims immediately dialed the emergency number to report the situation.
Actress and her friend told the police the attackers had ambushed them in the lobby of an apartment building where they were staying in the chic 16th arrondissement of the French capital, Paris.
According to the 16th arrondissement area police, the motive is still unknown and the investigation is still on. U.S. reality TV star Kim Kardashian was also attacked and got robbed in Paris recently. A per the reports, a masked gang stole jewellery worth more than $10 million.
However, in this case, the attackers fled without taking anything. A criminal investigation has been launched assuming that this was an attempted robbery. Since the investigation is going on, Police declined to comment on a question that has been raising in everyone’s mind, “If there is any connectivity between the Kardashian West and Sherawat incidents?”
