Reliance will now home deliver its Jio 4G SIM

Reliance Jio SIM cards seems to be in high demand, thanks to a huge hype created around the service. We had reported earlier that people are crowding Reliance Digital Stores and Express Mini stores in hopes of getting free Jio SIM, but it is a three-week wait or more.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will soon start taking online registration for its SIM card which is later to be delivered at consumer’s doorsteps. According to some online reports, after registering the SIM, the company will deliver the same in 5-7 days. There are rumors that the company has already started the service in some metro cities and will be expanding it to some other cities.

In october, a pilot project was initiated to deliver Reliance Jio 4G SIM at customer’s doorstep in Mumbai. Now, the company has reportedly expanded the home delivery service to New Delhi on November 16. It is expected to be rolled out in few more cities in coming weeks.

Once the Reliance Jio Home Delivery service took off, one needs to fill their location and other identification details on the Reliance Jio website and Reliance will soon send the new Reliance Jio SIM card to your doorsteps.

Previously, Airtel executed the same methodology to build its 4G client base. The company was giving away the SIM to people living in Airtel 4G network zone. They simply had to register by entering some personal details and existing mobile number in the Airtel 4G gateway to get their 4G SIM free of expense. Airtel moved bigger clients to 4G by using this technique. And now, Reliance is all set to use the same methodology to expand its client base.
