Uber has introduced a new feature called Schedule a Ride which lets you schedule Uber cab for up to 30 days in advance. Now you don’t have to call a Uber cab everyday as you can now pre-book UberX or UberGo ride for 30 days.
This new feature is available in more than 20 cities across the country. According to Uber, this feature is one of the most requested services around the world. As Uber say, if you can plan your vacation in advance, then you should be able to plan your ride in advance as well.
Users will obviously feel more comfortable scheduling there rides in advance. “With just a few taps on your app, you can schedule your ride 15 minutes to 30 days in advance and have the comfort of knowing your Uber will be there when it’s time to head out,” stated Uber in an article.
Here’s how to schedule your ride –
- Select your preferred vehicle (either UberGo or UberX)
- Fill in the information like date, time, location, and destination.
- Confirm the details and tap “Schedule uberX” or “Schedule uberGO”.
Uber will send you reminders both 24 hours and 30 minutes in advance of your pickup. You will also be notified after your ride in on the way. Currently scheduled rides is only available on uberGO and uberX. You can anytime cancel your scheduled ride before the driver is en-route to your pick up.
