Recently, Huawei had launched its two new smartphones Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porsche Design and some time later the company also revealed a new Mate variant named Mate 9 Pro. Now, Huawei is all set to introduce a new and fourth addition to its Mate series called Mate 9 Lite. The smartphone has already been listed on the company’s website, but no details about availability or pricing options have been disclosed yet.
A per the rumors, the phone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display and an octa-core Kirin 655 processor under the hood coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and EMUI 4.1. That’s pretty sad considering the other three models run Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box.
The Phone comes with an all-metal unibody design and curved 2.5D glass on the front. There’s also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on-board the device. The Mate 9 Lite still carries two cameras on the rear, however unlike its other siblings; it comes with a 12-megapixel rear camera lens can only help in creating shallow depth of field in shots, and 8-megapixel front facing camera.
The smartphone is backed by a 3,340 mAh battery. The Mate 9 Lite will be available in the colors: Gold, Grey, and Silver. Connectivity options include GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Huawei Mate 9 Lite measures 150.9 x 76.2 x 8.2mm and weighs 162 grams.
