Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai is up for India tour in January after a long time since he was appointed as CEO by Google. He will be hosting an event on January 4 for both Small and Medium Businesses in New Delhi. He has also planned to visit IIT Kharagpur where he had completed his graduation. Their, he will meet students and teachers at a function in Kolkata.

“Sundar Pichai, CEO Google and Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, has expressed his desire to visit the campus in the first week of January 2017,” said Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, director, IIT Kharagpur.
Talking about the January 4 event, the CEO will focus on partnering with SMBs “to help them unlock exponential growth through the power of digital.” Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and some senior Google officials will also be joining Sundar Pichai. Google has already launched Google for Business solution for small and medium businesses which allows them to find customers online in their local area.

Google is already providing free WiFi service at 100 railway stations across India. The company also introduced support for Hindi language in its Google Allo app and Google Assistant. Search Engine giant also partnered with Ministry of Consumer Affairs to kick off its “Digitally Safe Consumer” Campaign to protect the online interest in India.
