Honor 6 Play and Honor V9 Play specifications, price

Huawei has launched two new smartphones named Honor 6 Play and Honor V9 Play in China. Honor 6 Play has been priced at CNY 599 (approx $92 OR Rs. 6,000) while the Honor V9 Play comes in two RAM variants priced at CNY 999 for 3GB RAM and CNY 1,199 for 4GB RAM respectively. Honor 6 Play is available in Gold and White color options while the Honor V9 Play comes in five color options- Gold, Rose Gold, Black, Blue, and Red. Honor 6 Play is available to buy in the country and Honor V9 Play will go on sale starting September 12.

Honor 6 Play sports 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by 1.4 GHz MediaTek MT6737T quad-core SoC paired with 600MHz Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. The device runs EMUI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow

The smartphone features 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash while on the front side, Honor 6 Play sports 5MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. It’s a dual SIM (Nano + Nano/ microSD) smartphone that comes packed with 3020mAh battery. Connectivity options board Honor 6 Play include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, micro USB port 2.0, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, and ambient light.


Honor V9 Play sports 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core SoC paired with your choice of RAM i.e. 3GB/ 4GB. It comes with 32GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI v5.1 and sports fingerprint sensor that comes placed on the rear side below the camera module.

V9 Play features a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (phase detection auto focus), and LED flash. It also packs 8MP front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It’s a dual SIM (Nano + Nano/ microSD) smartphone that comes packed with 3000mAh battery rated to deliver 16 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. The smartphone packs standard connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ GLONASS, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board Honor V9 Play include proximity, accelerometer, proximity, and magnetometer.
