Netflix has added support for HDR (high dynamic range) content on iOS in its recent update. Only iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2017), and iPad Pro 10.5-inch (2017) users can experience HDR, however, to get on board with it you must have Netflix premium subscription plan.
You can now stream a range of HDR movies, videos, TV series, and other content right on your HDR-ready iOS devices mentioned above. Users can easily search for HDR content on Netflix and the media streaming platform will list all available HDR content.
The newly launched iPhones are the latest devices that support HDR as android devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Sony Xperia XZ Premium and LG G6 already comes with HDR support.
HDR produces greater dynamic range offering more detail than standard dynamic range. It delivers more realistic colors with greater detail making the dark part in an image looks darker and bright parts of an image looks brighter.
