Microsoft Windows 10 was officially unveiled during a media event on September 30, 2014. Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Operating Systems Groups, Terry Myerson, said that Windows 10 would be Microsoft’s most comprehensive platform ever. It will provide a single, unified platform for PC, Laptops, Smartphones, Tablets & other devices. Microsoft has not yet clarified the reason behind naming the new Operating System Windows 10. However Terry Myerson has stated that it wouldn’t be right to call it Windows 9. During another media event held on January 21, 2015, entitled ‘Windows 10 : The Next Chapter’ further details about Windows 10 consumer-oriented features were presented.

Snap Assist : It helps you to snap windows to make you more productive on the desktop. It has already been introduced in Windows 7 as ‘Aero Snap’. Snapping can be done by dragging any open Window/App to the corner of the screen. Program Windows can also be snapped vertically by using your keyboard. To snap the app to the top press Windows key + Up and to snap it to the bottom press Windows key + Down. It can’t be done with the mouse.
