Facebook is testing a new feature that will allow to users to save video when they are online to watch later offline. It’s similar to that of YouTube which was introduced in 2014.

Due to poor internet connectivity, users were facing problems watching videos online. So to increase its performance Facebook soon gonna introduce this feature helping users to save video when they are on good internet connection for later watching without using extra mobile data.

“We’re testing an option for people to download videos to Facebook while they’re online on good internet connections, to view the video at anytime, online or offline, without using extra mobile data,” said Facebook in a statement.

Users can download only those videos that are posted on personal Facebook accounts. However the company haven’t provided any details on broader roll out yet.
