India-based Smartron’s subsidiary Tronx Motors launched India’s first smart crossover electric bike earlier this month. The e-bike is called Tronx One and has been priced at Rs. 49,999 and offers connected experience via company’s Companion App.
The company has already started shipping the t-bike and if you are interested too then you have to register for it first. It’s up to you if you want to pay the pre-booking advance or not. After the registration is done, if eligible, you will receive the pre-booking invitation from Smartron. The e-bike is available in two color options- Magma Red and Pacific Blue.
Tronx Motors is also offering a demo allowing you to experience the e-bike before buying it. Company’s experience cum service centers are located in select cities- Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi/NCR, Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune. You can head over to the stores for a test ride or visit them for regular maintenance or service.
Coming to the features and specifications, Tronx One offers up to 50km range on continuous throttle mode and up to 70-85km range on electronic gear Assist mode. It has a maximum speed of 25kmph and the best part, you don’t need a license to ride it but don’t forget the helmet. The e-bike packs multiple ride modes and virtual gears paired with three electric gears and 6-speed Shimano manual gears designed to extend the range and adjust the speed of the bike.
The electric bike features Smatron’s tronX technology-powered Smart TFT display with built-in Bluetooth technology allowing you to connect your smartphone using the Companion App. It also has an inbuilt calorie tracker which is synchronized directly to your smartphone along with the cycling history. You can switch between riding modes from the integrated display button pad. It also alerts you of incoming call or message. The thumb throttle and six-speed gears are located on the right while the display is on the left.
The smart crossover e-bike sports mid-step-thru frame which is built using rust-proof AeroGrade alloy material- 7075 Aluminium Alloy. There is Zoom MASERA 80mm front suspension that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride. The crossroad-type tyres measure 26×2-inches and are mounted on top of double wall alloy rims.
Tronx One is powered by a 250W rear hub motor which is powered by a detachable 36 V 13.4 Ah 500W lithium battery. Riders can detach the Samsung Cells-powered battery from the lockable battery compartment which is resistant to any type of climate and is shake-proof. The battery can be charged in 3 to 4 hours. The standard version of the e-bike comes with the front (V brake) and rear (disc) electronic brakes. There is an option to upgrade the front V brake to disc brake.
