Today, thousands of SSC aspirants are raising their voices on various social media platforms with #SpeakUpForSSCRailwayStudents and #SSCdeclareCGLresult hashtags. These hashtags are the voices of millions of students impacted. Aspirants are demanding a complete overhaul of the recruitment process against the indifference of the commission in declaring the result of the CGL 2018 and RRB NTPC exam.
As it’s been said that media is the most powerful entity on the Earth, it is the right arm of anarchy and so forth. In contrast to this, no television media is showing any support towards SSC aspirants. Also, nowadays hashtags related to boycotting media are trending. Nobody is trying to understand the pain of unemployment except aspirants and their families.
Finally, the Staff Selection Commission has listened and just announced the tentative dates for the declaration of results of exams conducted by the Commission. As per today’s update, SSC will publish the result for CGL 2018 Tier-3 on October 04, 2020, on the official website of the Commission. It will be interesting to note that if it gets declared this time because it’s kind of a hobby of the Commission to reschedule or delay everything.
Delay in CGL result and Railway exams: Here’s what’s happening
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is one of the largest staff recruiting government organizations in India. The main reason for this campaign is the long delay in the declaration of the SSC CGL 2018 Tier3 result. Commission announced the official notification of the Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 on May 04, 2018. The Preliminary exams were conducted on June 04, 2019, while the Descriptive main exam was conducted on December 29, 2019. Since then, candidates are restlessly waiting for the declaration of the results for the same. It is approximately 850+ days since CGL 2018 was notified. Commission has since maintained a silent demeanor on when the results are going to be released.
The other reason is the delay in the conduction of RRB NTPC 2019 & RRB Group D 2019 other Railway RRB exams. The official notification for this exam was released in the first weak of March 2019. It is now almost 18 months since the release of notification. More than 1 Lakh vacancies were announced by the commission under this exam. Among 2.8 crore applicants applied for the exam but to date, the Commission has failed to schedule exams.
The Staff Selection Commission has also failed in other aspects too. For instance, the results of the examination for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) was conducted more than a year ago. Applicants who qualified the exam are however still waiting for the issue of joining letters to be resolved.
Such lack of concern and sympathy from a govt recruitment agency (SSC) is highly unacceptable and the indignation of aspirants is completely justified as the future of millions of students is at stake. Through this online campaign, aspirants are demanding a complete overhaul of the system for the smooth functioning of the commission that includes a timely declaration of results and conduction of exams.
