Xiaomi has launched its fitness tracker smart band in India called Mi Band 2. In an recent event, the company unveiled Mi Air Purifier 2 along with the Mi Band 2. The band will be available at a price of Rs.1,999.
The band will go on sale from September 27 exclusively on MI.com. It’s also expected to be available on Amazon from September 30.
Mi band features an all new design with 0.42-inch OLED display which shows the time, heart rate count, steps count and other related stuff. It is also equipped with a touch button which on tapping shows steps count and heart rate. The all new Mi Band 2 is designed to measure steps counts and exercise more precisely in comparison to the existing one.
It has built-in heart rate sensor and motion sensor. The heart rate sensor helps track and monitor your heart rates while the motion sensor gets activated whenever you start working out. You don’t have to switch modes or do anything as it gets started automatically.
Beside heart rate monitoring, the Mi Band 2 also keeps track of your sleep by measuring length and quality of sleep cycles. It also monitors running speed and reminds you when to take a short walk or water break when you sits still for a long time.
Mi Band 2 is packed with 70mAh battery and is capable to provide backup for 20 days, company claimed. Like Mi Band, Mi Band 2 also vibrates to alert you about the incoming calls, messages and other notifications The band comes exclusively in Black, Blue, Orange and green color options. It is made up of skin-friendly material which makes it comfortable to wear.
Mi Band 2 is water, sweat, and dust resistant which makes it more durable. You need to install Mi Fit App available on both Android and iOS store to sync the band with your smartphone. The band supports devices running Android 4.4 and above and in case of iOS, it supports devices running iOS 7 and above.
