YouTube announced its live TV streaming service “YouTube TV” which will let users watch TV live just like watching YouTube videos. It doesn’t matter how much big your screen is, whether it’s a smartphone or big screen TV, you can watch TV channels live anywhere, anytime at just $35 a month.
At just $35 a month, YouTube will let you watch popular entertainment and sports networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN including dozens of popular cable networks live on any connected device. With one subscription, six users can make use of the service with separate unlimited cloud DVR storage.
“Consumers have made it clear that they want live TV without all the hassle. They don’t want to worry about their DVR filling up. They don’t want to miss a great game or their favorite show because they’re on the go. They tell us they want TV to be more like YouTube,” stated YouTube on its blog.
YouTube is also offering unlimited DVR storage allowing you to record live TV shows to watch them later without worrying about the storage space running out. You can record as many shows as you want which will be saved on YouTube’s cloud with a validity of nine months. After nine months, you won’t be able to watch them.
As we mentioned earlier, you can stream live TV channels on any device such as mobile, tablet, computer, or a smart TV. Booth Android and iOS users will be able to avail the live TV streaming service. It will also give users access to watch YouTube Red original series and movies on its YouTube TV app.
The service will initially be available in United States, however,YouTube-TV YouTube is working on expanding its live TV streaming service in more markets globally.
