Vodafone Idea has come up with TurboNet in order to provide better 4G coverage and speeds and to enhance users’ 4G experience. For now, the TurboNet 4G services have been launched in select cities of Uttar Pradesh West, Rajasthan and Rest of Bengal (exclude Kolkata from the list).
According to Vodafone Idea, TurboNet features a state of the art 4G network with dual spectrum power offering higher capacity and coverage. TurboNet 4G builds on the combined strength of the integrated network resulting in increased 4G coverage, more capacity, turbo speed, and lower latency.
The launch follows the consolidation of its radio network integration and the deployment of new-age technologies like DSR (Dynamic Spectrum Re-farming), SR (Spectrum Re-farming), M-MIMO (Massive-Mulitple Input Mulitple Output), L900, TDD (Time Division Duplex), and Small Cells which further optimizes and boost the network capacity and coverage across the country.
According to the telecom, based on Ookla’s findings, Vodafone and Idea brands are delivering fastest upload and download 4G speeds in many of the integrated markets.
Since the two networks have joined hands, Vodafone Idea’s network integration exercise is continuing at a rapid pace with 72% of districts in India already consolidated. The operators claim that 4G speeds have improved by more than 50 percent in the covered circles.
“With the integration of two strong networks in many markets, Vodafone Idea is becoming a higher-powered, supercharged 4G network,” said Vishant Vora, Chief Technology Officer, Vodafone Idea.
Doesn’t matter if you are using Vodafone or Idea, the unified network will be presented to both brands’ customers under a single brand proposition. “Whether you are a Vodafone of Idea customer, your network is now bigger, better, and stronger.”
TurboNet 4G services will be rolled out across the country in a phased manner over the next few months.
