Vodafone is now offering cash withdrawal from any of its outlet across the country. The company’s outlets count is around 1,20,000. Vodafone has more than 8.4 million M-Pesa customers who are allowed to withdraw cash from their digital wallets.

Just like other digital wallets, Vodafone has introduced this offer to promote its M-Pesa wallet and to attract more subscribers. After the demonetisation of old currency notes, everyone is trying to get digital. Most of the people are now switching to online payments and transactions. They are using Paytm wallets and other wallets to get their work done without going to bank. People are now realizing the need of digitization.

Here’s what Vodafone M-Pesa Business head, Suresh Sethi, said “Vodafone M-Pesa customers do not need to stand in long queues outside ATMs and bank branches for cash. We have invested in building a nationwide network of over 120,000 M-Pesa outlets, equivalent to the numbers of bank branches in the country.”

M-Pesa customers have to carry their identity proof and visit nearest Vodafone outlet to withdraw their money. The company will then turn your digital money into cash as per Reserve Bank of India guidelines.

This decision can benefit people living in rural areas as most of company’s outlets are established in such areas. “Our customers can visit any of these outlets and use the unique cash-out feature of Vodafone M-Pesa to withdraw cash from their digital wallets at their own convenience. Further, our digital wallet too can be easily digitally loaded via credit/debit cards or net banking,” added Sethi.
