Nokia 5.3 is up for grabs via Amazon India: Specifications

Launched in India last week, the Finnish brand has made its all-new mid-ranger Nokia 5.3 smartphone available to buy via Amazon and Nokia store.

HMD Global is offering two storage variants- 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage priced at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 15,499 respectively. The smartphone is available to buy in Charcoal, Sand, and Cyan color options via Amazon India and Nokia store.

As part of the Android One initiative, the phone runs pure Android 10 OS with no bloatware and is ready to receive Android 11 when available. And don’t forget, Android One promises for at least two years of OS upgrades and security updates.

Coming to the specifications, Nokia 5.3 features 6.55-inch HD+ (720×1600 pixels) display with a 20:9 display ratio. It has a 2.5D glass front and scratch-resistant back. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) SoC paired with Adreno 610 GPU and up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM.

The camera department includes a quad rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF, 5MP ultrawide (118-degree FOV) sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro sensor allowing you to capture photos up-close. The camera setup comes paired with an LED flash. On the front, you get an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

The Finnish smartphone maker has provided a dedicated button on the side called Google Assistant button that activates Google’s AI-powered smart assistant. The fingerprint sensor sits below the camera module on the rear.

The card tray accepts two Nano SIMs and features a dedicated slot for the microSD card up to 512GB. Nokia 5.3 packs a 4,000 mAh battery and supports 10W charging via a 5V/2A charging adapter.

Network and connectivity options include 4G LTE Cat 4, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/AGPS, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C. Sensors on the smartphone include an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer (G-sensor).
