Indian smartphone maker Lava has launched Lava Blaze 2 for entry-level, budget smartphone buyers in the country. Priced under Rs. 10,000, Lava is looking to increase its foothold in the budget smartphone segment with its latest offering.

Lava Blaze 2 comes in one and only 6GB/128GB storage configuration carrying a price tag of Rs. 8,999. It will be up for grabs starting April 18, 2023, from 12 PM onwards via Amazon India. The phone offers three color options- Glass Black, Glass Blue, and Glass Orange.

The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch punch-hole HD+ (720×1600 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D curved screen and 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 12 and supports face unlock and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. With the virtual RAM feature, the RAM can be expanded up to 5GB with unused internal storage.
It is powered by an Unisoc T616 octa-corer processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM. As per the company’s claims, the smartphone has scored more than 250k on the Antutu 9.5.5 Benchmark making it the fastest smartphone in the segment (<Rs. 10,000). It offers 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage and supports expansion up to 1TB via microSD card.
Coming to the optics, Lava Blaze 2 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. The setup comes paired with an LED flash and offers photography features/modes such as portrait, AI mode, Night, Slow motion, Beauty, Motion photo, Timelapse, HDR, Filters, Pro, and Panorama. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter that comes with a screen flash.
The smartphone’s SIM tray accepts two 4G Nano SIMs. It comes with a 5,000mAh large battery and supports 18W fast charging, taking almost 1.5 hours to charge from 0-100 percent. Connectivity options on the smartphone included 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM Radio, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Other than the fingerprint, the smartphone also has a proximity sensor and accelerometer.
