The Vivo X Fold 2 is set to debut on April 20 in China, and a Geekbench listing has recently surfaced, revealing some of the phone’s specifications. According to the listing, the foldable device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, making it the first foldable smartphone to be powered by this cutting-edge chipset. The phone is rumored to have 12GB of RAM and run on Android 13.
The alleged Geekbench listing shows that the Vivo X Fold 2 has obtained a single-core score of 1,809 points and a multi-core score of 5,050 points. Additionally, the phone is equipped with 12GB of RAM and is expected to run on the latest Android 13 operating system.
Vivo has scheduled an event on April 20 to unveil three new devices: the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo X Flip, and Vivo Pad 2. The brand has been teasing the phone’s design through Weibo, showcasing a red color theme and a rear camera module in a circular shape.
Rumors suggest that the upcoming smartphone may feature a 2K AMOLED E6 display for its foldable inner screen. The phone is also expected to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint reader for authentication and support for fast charging, with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
