Huawei Watch 2, Watch 2 Classic comes with 4G LTE support

Huawei launched its latest wearable products, successor to its first Smartwatch, Watch 2 and Watch 2 Classic at MWC 2017 held in Barcelona. The company also unveiled Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones alongside the smartwatch. The base model of Watch 2 has been priced at EUR 329 (approx Rs. 23,300 OR $349) and will be available in more than 20 countries worldwide. Huawei will also launch the Watch 2 Porsche edition later this year.

Watch 2 sports 1.2-inch circular AMOLED display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by 1.1GHz Qualcomm MSM8909W processor paired with 768MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage and runs on Android Wear 2.0 OS. The smartwatch comes with 4G LTE  network connectivity support and features SIM card slot that accepts Nano-SIM. The LTE connectivity support will remain exclusive to 4G enabled models only as the company will also be offering WiFi only variant.

The smartwatch sports Ceramic Bezel which is 6 times harder than stainless steel and comes with IP68 water and dust protection. It supports both SIM and e-SIM card. Other connectivity options that comes packed with Huawei Watch 2- NFC, GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. It also packs 3-axis A + G sensor, 3-axis Gyroscope, 3-axis Compass, Heart Rate Sensor (PPG), Barometer, Capacitive Sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor.




It provides continuous heart rate monitoring which lets you view your heart rate graph for the last 6 hours. It also features different modes designed to get you started with your workout quickly. According to the company, the smartwatch is your “perfect workout companion.” The watch provides you daily workout and fitness data and also gives you advice on your workout pattern.

It comes pre-loaded with Google’s virtual assistant called Google Assistant and packs 420mAh battery capable of providing 2 days backup while on low power mode, it can last up to 25 days. NFC support enables Android Pay which makes your payment process a lot easier. You can also switch the strap and change the watch face to make it look new everyday. The smartwatch also packs a microphone and a speaker.

It will initially be available in Portugal, Italy, Germany, China, Spain, and France. The company will later launch the smartwatch in US, UK, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Ireland, The Nordics, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, India, South Africa, Poland, Austria, Japan, UAE, and Saudi Arabia followed by Malaysia.
