Nokia 3, Nokia 5 Android smartphones specifications, price

HMD Global launched two new Nokia Android smartphones- Nokia 3 (left) & Nokia 5 (right) and resurrected the most popular, best selling feature phone “Nokia 3310” at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017. The company also announced the global availability of its Nokia 6 smartphone launched in January this year. Both the smartphones will be made available in Europe, APAC, Middle East, and Africa in Q2 2017.

The company has also confirmed that both the smartphones will also be launched in Indian smartphone market in Q2 2017. Nokia 3 has been priced at EUR 139 (approx Rs.9,800) while the Nokia 5 comes at a price tag of EUR 189 (approx Rs. 13,500) and Nokia 6 will cost you EUR 229 (approx Rs. 16,000). Nokia 6 Arte Black variant was also announced at the launch event which will also be made available alongside other smartphone at a price of EUR 299 (approx Rs. 21,000). The smartphones will sport “Made in India” tag, claimed HMD Global.

Getting started with Nokia 3, the smartphone sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. In terms of design, the smartphone sports polycarbonate body and machined aluminum frame. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.




Nokia 3 features 8MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and 8MP front autofocus camera with display flash. It’s a dual SIM (Micro + Micro) smartphone (single SIM variant will also be made available depending on the markets) that comes packed with 2650mAh battery. It also packs standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, FM, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include- magnetometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and ambient light. It will be available in Silver White, Tempered Blue, Matte Black, and Copper White.

The all new Nokia 5 smartphone sports “seamless” metal body with 5.2-inch LCD IPS display with 720×1280 pixels resolution and 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. It comes with same 16GB internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card. The device also sports fingerprint sensor which has been embedded in its home button.

It features 13MP rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and dual tone LED flash. On the front side, the smartphone sports 8MP autofocus camera with 84-degrees wide angle lens. Just like Nokia 3, Nokia 5 also supports LTE Cat. 4 download speeds and comes packed with 3000mAh non-removable battery. It will also be made available in dual SIM (Micro + Micro) as well as single SIM variants, depending on the markets. It will be available in Silver White, Tempered Blue, Matte Black, and Copper White. It also packs standard connectivity options like WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, FM, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include- magnetometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and ambient light.

Both the smartphones runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and will receive regular OTA updates.The smartphones comes pre-loaded with Google Photos app with unlimited cloud storage so that you can save device’s internal storage for more important stuff than regular photos and videos.
