Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth specifications, price, and features

Huawei has added another smartphone to its Enjoy 8 series of smartphones called Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth. It has been launched in China with no words on its availability in other international markets. As it appears from the name, the smartphone is targeted at young smartphone users.

The all-new Enjoy 8e youth has been priced at CNY 799 (approx Rs. 8,400) and comes in three color options- Black, Blue, and Gold. It is up for pre-orders via VMall and will start shipping to customers starting June 1.

The smartphone sports 5.45-inch HD+ (1440×720 pixels) TFT LCD display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 295ppi. It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor paired with PowerVR GE8100 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.


The device features 13MP autofocus camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), HDR, panorama, and dual-tone LED flash. The front side sports 5MP fixed focus sensor with Beauty mode and soft-light LED flash for better low-light photography.

Huawei Enjoy 8e Youth runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 UI and there is no fingerprint sensor on the smartphone. It packs a feature that is said to automatically adjust the volume during voice calls depending on the environment. There is also a feature that makes taking screenshots easy, all you have to do is slide three fingers upside down on the screen. Other features include night mode, eye-protection mode, and a loudspeaker mode.

It accepts two Nano SIMs and has a dedicated slot for the microSD card which is a plus point. It packs 3020mAh non-removable battery which can be fueled up to 100% in around 3 hours and 20 minutes. Connectivity options onboard Enjoy 8e Youth include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, FM Radio, micro USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, ambient light, and accelerometer.
