Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched an all-new budget smartphone named Honor 7C in its home market, China. It comes in two storage configurations- 3GB/ 32GB and 4GB/ 64GB- and features 18:9 display ratio.
The 3GB/ 32GB variant of Honor 7C has been priced at CNY 899 (approx $140 OR Rs. 9,200) while the 4GB/ 64GB variant comes with a price tag of CNY (approx $205 OR Rs. 13,320). The phone has been made available in China, as of now, in Red, Black, Blue, and Gold color options. No official word on its availability in other global markets.
Coming on to its specifications, the smartphone sports 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 268ppi pixel density and there is 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU and your choice of RAM- 3GB or 4GB. It comes in two internal storage (32GB/ 64GB) options as mentioned earlier which is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
Huawei Honor 7C features dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), touch focus, panorama, HDR, face detection, and LED flash. On the front side, the smartphone sports 8MP fixed focus selfie sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Both front and back cameras also offer portrait mode.
The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 and supports face unlock feature. There is also a fingerprint sensor which comes mounted on the rear panel. We always recommend using fingerprint sensor or other traditional unlock methods over face scanner in such smartphones. Powering up the device is the 3000mAh non-removable battery.
It’s a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone which features a dedicated slot for MicroSD card so you don’t have to compromise. Connectivity options onboard Huawei Honor 7C include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, micro USB 2.0 port, and 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, and magnetometer.
