ZTE has launched another Nubia Z17 variant called Nubia Z17 Lite featuring 13MP dual rear cameras in the same Nubia Z17 body. It has been priced at CNY 2,499 (approx $375 OR Rs. 24,000) and will be available from September 6 in Gold, Black, and Blue color options. As of now, the smartphone has been launched in China with no words on its international availability.
Coming to the specifications, the smartphone sports unibody design with 5.5-inch FHD (1080×1920 pixels) TFT display that comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon octa core (4 Cortex-A72 cores @ 1.95GHz & 4 Cortex-A53 cores @ 1.4GHz) SoC paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage which can’t be expanded further.
Nubia Z17 Lite features 13MP dual rear sensors (Sony IMX258 Color sensor + Sony IMX258 Black & White sensor) with PDAF hybrid phase auto focus, 5P lens protected with Sapphire glass, f/2.2 aperture, dual LED flash, and company’s own NeoVision 7.0 which offers a wide range of adjustable settings and functions to edit “your photos, your way.” The device also packs 16MP Samsung imaging sensor on the front with f/2.0 aperture, 84-degree wide angle 5P lens.
It’s a single SIM (Nano) smartphone that comes packed with 3200mAh battery and supports fast charging through Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. While Nubia Z17 featured QuickCharge 4+ with powerful Snapdragon 835 SoC and 8GB of RAM. So, if you want greater specs with greater performance, go with Nubia Z17 where you have to pay a starting price of CNY 3,399, however, if you are a regular smartphone user, Nubia Z17 Lite is not that bad, it also has great specs.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/c, Bluetooth v4.2 (supports BLE), 4G LTE, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. Sensors on board Nubia Z17 Lite include a gyroscope, ambient light, proximity, accelerometer, and magnetometer apart from fingerprint sensor placed on the rear. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and features DTS sound support for higher quality audio playback.
