Sony has introduced three new smartphones at CES 2018 which includes Sony Xperia XA2, Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Sony Xperia L2. In this article, we will be discussing Xperia L2 smartphone, we have a separate article for Xperia XA2 smartphones. Xperia L2 is the successor to company’s Xperia L1 smartphone.
All the smartphones including Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra are up for pre-order in the United States. You can head over to Best Buy to pre-order the device you want. Sony Xperia XA2 has been priced at $349.99 while the Xperia XA2 Ultra retails at $449.99. On the other hand, Xperia L2 comes with a price tag of $249.99. All the smartphones are listed on Best Buy as Unlocked devices. Xperia XA2 is available to pre-order in Black, Blue, Pink, and Silver color options while XA2 Ultra comes in Black, Blue, Gold, and Silver color options. On the other hand, Xperia L2 can be pre-ordered in Black, Gold, and Pink color options and will go sale later this month. You can expect the India launch of these smartphones soon.
Coming on to smartphone’s specifications, Xperia L2 sports 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) TFT-LCD display integrated with some image enhance technology and on top, there is Corning Gorilla Glass. It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6737T quad-core processor paired with Mali-T720MP2 and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
Sony Xperia L2 features 13MP rear autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash while on the front side, the smartphone sports 8MP selfie camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.
Xperia L2 come installed with applications like Xperia Lounge, Movie Creator, and AR Effect. For enhanced audio experience, Sony has integrated Clear Audio+ into the smartphone to automatically optimize audio output settings. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and sports a fingerprint sensor that comes mounted on the rear side.
Depending on regions, the smartphone will be made available in either single-SIM or dual-SIM variant. It packs 3300mAh battery and supports Battery Care, Stamina Mode, and Qnovo Adaptive Charging. Connectivity options onboard Sony Xperia L2 include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, FM Radio with dedicated FM Radio app, NFC, GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS, and USB Type-C port. Sensors on the smartphone include proximity, accelerometer, ambient light, and magnetometer.
