HTC has added another smartphone to its U11 smartphone series called HTC U11 EYEs. The smartphone sports dual front camera setup packed with features to satisfy demands of selfie lovers. It has been launched in China and Taiwan and is up for pre-orders.

You can pre-order the smartphone from HTC’s online store at CNY 3,299 or NT $14,900 (approx Rs. 32,000). The company is offering HTC U11 EYEs in three color options- Silver-Blue, Black, and Sunny Red. There are no details on its launch in other international markets as of now.

Talking about the smartphone, it sports 6.0-inch FHD+ (1080×2160 pixels)  Super LCD3 18:9 aspect ratio display with pixel density up to 402ppi and on top, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to make the device durable. It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 652 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 2TB via MicroSD card.

In terms of camera, HTC U11 EYEs features 12MP rear UltraSpeed autofocus camera with f/1.7 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization), EIS (electronic image stabilization), panorama, HDR, BSI sensor, slow-motion video recording at 120fps, 4K video recording, and LED flash. On the front side,  the smartphone sports dual camera setup comprising of two 5MP sensors with f/2.2 aperture, screen flash, HDR enhancement, bokeh mode, real-time bokeh effects, beauty mode, BSI sensor, panorama, and FHD 1080p video recording.

With the all-new HTC smartphone, users can unlock the device using their face just like Apple iPhone X. All you have to do is to put your face in front of the smartphone to unlock it quickly but I will always recommend using fingerprint or other traditional device unlocking methods as they are currently more secure. The smartphone comes equipped with HTC USonic sound technology that scans your inner year to create your own sound profile. The headphones also have built-in noise reduction technology that continuously monitors and adjusts volume according to the outside environment.

The smartphone also packs features like Edge Sense that lets you control the device, all you have to do is to squeeze the smartphone. You can play/stop the music, zoom in/out the map, open your favorite application, capture photo/video, and much more. It also comes integrated with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa that performs tasks on your command and provides voice interface between you and the smartphone. It has also been rated IP67 for water and dust resistance.

It’s a dual SIM (Nano) smartphone that comes packed with large 3930mAh battery making it company’s first smartphone to have such a large battery. HTC U11 EYEs runs HTC Sense based on Android 7.1 Nougat, supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology, and sports fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Connectivity options onboard U11 EYEs include 4G LTE, GPS/ GLONASS, Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
