MWC 2018: Energizer Power Max P16K Pro packs 16000mAh battery

Avenir Telecom licensed under the Energizer brand has launched three new smartphones at the MWC 2018, adding two of them to its Power Max series and the remaining one to its Hardcase series of smartphones. The names of the smartphones are as follows- Energizer Power Max P16K Pro, Energizer Power Max P490S, and Energizer Hardcase H590S.

Energizer Power Max P16K Pro has been priced at $738 (approx €599, £528, or Rs. 48,000) and will be available to buy in Q3 (expected), most probably in September. Currently, we don’t know the price of Power Max P490S and Hardcase H590S smartphones but we do know that both the phones will be made available sometime in Q2. The company is also planning to launch its Power Max and Hardcase series smartphones in India in near future.

The Avenir Telecom Group designs, produces, and distributes smartphones and accessories under Energizer brand and operates in 40 countries worldwide. Taking over the stage, the company launched three new smartphones and the highlight was Power Max P16K Pro which packs gigantic 16,000mAh battery. Man, that’s huge!

16,000mAh, that’s four times bigger than nowadays phones even if you compare to Samsung’s latest smartphones Galaxy S9 (more than 5 times) and Galaxy S9+. This phone is meant for travelers or for those who don’t have time to charge their phones as it could last a whole week. That’s enough about the battery, let’s now discuss its specifications, the Energizer Power Max P16K Pro sports 5.99-inch FHD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD display with 18:9 display ratio and a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 octa-core processor paired with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of internal storage (not expandable) and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

It features dual rear camera setup consisting of 16MP and 13MP sensors with features like PDAF (phase detection autofocus), face detection, panorama, HDR, and dual-tone dual-LED flash. On the front side, the smartphone sports another dual camera setup (13MP + 5MP) for taking selfies. Connectivity options on the smartphone include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GP, FM Radio, and USB Type-C port. Sensors onboard Energizer Power Max P16K Pro include proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, and fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted).

Energizer Power Max P490S, on the other hand, sports 4.95-inch FWVGA (480X854 pixels) display with 18:9 display ratio and is powered by a MediaTek MT6739 quad-core SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 32GB via MicroSD card. The smartphone packs standard 4000mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Power Max P490S also features dual rear camera setup consisting of 8MP and 0.3MP sensors and dual front camera setup (5MP + 0.3MP). Connectivity options onboard the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. Sensors on the Power Max P490S include proximity, accelerometer, and fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the Energizer Hardcase H590S, the smartphone sports 5.9-inch FHD+ (1080×2160 pixels) 18:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek MT6737T Helio P23 octa-core processor paired with Mali-G71 MP2 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.

Energizer Hardcase H590SCamera department include dual rear camera (16MP + 0.3MP) setup and dual front camera (13MP + 0.3MP) setup. The smartphone packs 5800mAh battery, support fast charging and run on Android 8.0 Oreo. The phone is rated IP68 for water, dust, and shock resistance making the smartphone more durable than other two. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C. Sensors on the Energizer Hardcase H590S include proximity, gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, heart rate monitor, RGB light sensor, UV sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
