Samsung has launched an all-new smartphone in India named Samsung Galaxy M04 for entry-level, budget smartphone users in India. It’s the most affordable M-Series smartphone that offers up to 8GB of RAM (4GB + 4GB virtual), a big screen, and a waterdrop-notch housing the selfie camera. With this phone, Samsung is targeting Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, and Infinix offering entry-level smartphones at similar pricing.
Price, offers, and availability:
The Samsung Galaxy M04 will be available to buy from December 16 onwards at an effective price of Rs. 8,499 for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 9,499 for the 4GB/128GB storage variant. It can be purchased online from Samsung.com and Amazon India or offline via authorized retail outlets across the country. The smartphone comes in two color options- Sea Glass Green and Shadow Blue.
Samsung hasn’t announced any launch offers but you can always check with the retailers whether online or offline while making the purchase.
Specifications and features:
For an immersive viewing experience, the smartphone sports a big 6.5-inch HD+ (1600×720 pixels) LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core (4×2.35 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) MediaTek Helio P35 12nm chipset that comes coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The RAM can be expanded up to 4GB as virtual RAM using the smartphone’s RAM Plus feature. The internal storage (up to 128GB) is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy M04 runs the company’s One UI Core 4.1 based on Android 12 and promises two times Android OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
The device packs a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup paired with an LED flash. On the front, it offers a 5MP shooter so that you don’t miss out on “good-quality” selfies. There is a 5,000mAh large battery that comes with 15W charging support.
The 4G dual SIM (Nano) smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh large battery and supports 15W charging. As for connectivity, it offers WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, USB Type-C 2.0, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the Galaxy M04 include proximity, accelerometer, and ambient light.
